{"id":478,"date":"2022-06-09T11:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-06-09T09:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carotenutolex.com\/?p=478"},"modified":"2022-06-10T10:58:18","modified_gmt":"2022-06-10T08:58:18","slug":"register-of-beneficial-ownership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carotenutolex.com\/en\/publications\/news\/register-of-beneficial-ownership\/","title":{"rendered":"Register of beneficial ownership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">A Decree has been recently issued by MEF, jointly with MED, which provides for the communication of data and information on the beneficial ownership of companies with legal personality, private legal persons, trusts and similar institutions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Notification of beneficial ownership must be made \u00a0to the territorially competent register of companies by:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">a)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 directors of companies having legal personality;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">b)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 founder, if alive, or persons entrusted with the representation and administration of private legal persons;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">c)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 trustee of trusts or similar institutions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In addition, the above mentioned persons are required to notify:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">a)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 any changes in the beneficial ownership within 30 days therefrom; and<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">b)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 confirmation of the above data and information within 12 months from the first or latest notification and then annually.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Finally, please note that the obligation to file the afore-side communications must be satisfied within 60 days of the entry into force of the Decree on 9 June 2022.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>MEF and MED\u2019s Decree of 11 March 2022 no. 55, (published in the Official Gazette on 25 May 2022 no. 121)<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Decree has been recently issued by MEF, jointly with MED, which provides for the communication of data and information on the beneficial ownership of companies with legal personality, private&hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":151,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[20],"tags":[31],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v23.1 (Yoast SEO v23.1) -
